Top Toys That Any Adult-Baby Will Love

As any adult-baby parent knows there is a fine art to finding toys that genuinely keep their big babies amused.  Here is a selection of toys that would definitely be at the top of my 'Things to Buy for The Perfect Adult-Baby Nursery' List.

Playful Penguin Race

There was one of these sitting on a counter in my local department store when I was a kid.  Unfortunately we only passed through the store as a short-cut to get to the market but I would spend every brief moment I could straining to see these delightful little penguins climbing the stairs and sliding back down to the bottom. Imagine my delight when I discovered that The original Schylling Playful Penguin Race is still on sale! A must have for any adult-baby that wants to lie in their crib and watch something fun.

Time Shock Puzzle

A simple game that can be played on your own, with your adult-baby friends or with adults.  Race the timer to get the bits in place before it all goes pop! and the pieces fly back out.  As a kid there was a Time Shock Puzzle in our school classroom for when it was raining outside at play-time and I enjoyed it so much I ended up with one at home too.   

Screwball Scramble

We all had one, we all loved it and we'd all have it again.  There's nothing better than a challenge that looks really simple but is in fact the Mother of all challenges. TOMY's Screwball Scramble Game is that toy we've all beaten a couple of times but would love the chance to do again.  Beware that if you buy this for your adult-baby you may be tempted to put them to bed early so you can play.

Splashy the Penguin

Ok so a bath toy doesn't necessarily belong in a nursery for adult babies but let me tell you that the Tomy Splashy the Penguin Bath Toy is one of the cutest and funniest bath toys ever. It's a firm family favourite here and you really don't need to be in a bath to enjoy him.  He's well made and good company.  Push his hair forward and he will sing you the tune of 'Row Your Boat', lay him down or put him under the water and he will burbble the tune instead.  The best thing of all though, is the little cheer he gives at the end.  Guaranteed to put baby and Mommy in a good mood.

Fuzzy Felts

My Nan always had Fuzzy Felts for us to play with so I always associate them with being very young and feeling very loved.  Over the years we must have collected as many little felt people and shapes as can be found in the Fuzzy Felt Celebration Set although we didn't have the neat little drawers to keep them all in.
